A very good performance from Real Madrid. They lost their way a little bit after conceding the equaliser, but Lopetegui's words of wisdom at half time saw them emerge for the second half and blow away Leganes. Bale and Benzema were the standout performers.

Courtois didn't have much to do on his Real Madrid debut, besides pick the ball out of his net from a penalty, but the Belgian will be pleased to have gotten his start at his new club.

Lopetegui will be pleased with what he has seen from his new team over their first three La Liga games. They have been dominant and have found the results to match that dominance.

Real Madrid still have one change to make this evening and so it's surely only a matter of time, with this game won, until we see Mariano come on for his second debut for the club.

A WASTE FROM BALE! The Welsh winger had four players up in support, but he cuts on to his left foot and fires well over the crossbar. Bale might have done better with that chance.

Leganes were impressive from scoring their equaliser until the half time break, but Real Madrid have upped their game to such a level that they just couldn't keep up in this second half.
