Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid are forced to settle for a point. This match never really burst into life, but Oblak, Thomas and Trippier all impressed for the home side. There were chances for both Benzema and Felix, but in the end it was the two goalkeepers who won the day.

One wonders how this game might have panned out had Morata not been suspended. Costa has been poor and has hindered the Atletico Madrid attack with his lack of mobility.

It must be said, this hasn't been a classic Madrid Derbi, but this is the sort of match we expected between these two teams. They probably would have accepted a point before kick off.

There will be three minutes of stoppage time played at the end of the match.

That last change was slightly surprising from Zidane. Jovic has faced a lot of criticism in the first few months of his time at Real Madrid, but this is a real show of faith from Zidane in the Serbian.

Bale is out on the left with James on the right and Benzema through the middle. Real Madrid are the ones pressing and looking for the goal that would surely give them the win.

Atletico Madrid have run out of steam. They have run dry on energy. The haven't really posed a threat in the last 20 minutes or so. Real Madrid look to have a bit more in their legs.

That's brilliant play to drive Real Madrid up the pitch, from one end to the other, and win the corner kick. It seems that the away team are quite happy with a point here, but could they snatch all three?

No penalty! The Atletico Madrid players and fans believe that Ramos should have been penalised for a foul in the box on Correa. But the referee saw nothing in it. Play continues.

Is there a winner in this match? At the moment it seems that Real Madrid are likelier of the two sides to grab it, but you still can't rule out Atletico Madrid. They have had chances.

It should be noted that both these teams played matches during the week and it seems this might be having an effect on Atletico Madrid in particular. They are tiring somewhat.

Hazard is hooked off by Zidane and James comes on in his place. He will get the final 10 minutes.

On first viewing, that looked like a great save from Oblak. On second viewing, it was astonishing. Any oher goalkeeper surely would have been beaten by that header from Benzema.

What a save! That's the closest Real Madrid have come to finding the back of the net! It was a great cross from Nacho, Benzema flicked on a header and Oblak dived to his left to make the save!

Courtois was beaten! Saul won an aerial challenge at the front post and flicked a corner kick delivery towards the back post. Courtois had given up on it, but the ball flashed wide. That was close to finding the net.
