Alaves gave this a good go in their first match under their new manager, Muniz, but Real Madrid just had too much for them and the 2-0 win for Los Blancos moves them four points clear at the top of La Liga once again! Goals from Benzema and Asensio were the difference in the end! Another clean sheet!

Brahim hasn't had many opportunities to show what he can do since joining from Manchester City last year, and he will only get a few minutes at the end of this game too!

A final change for Real Madrid and Brahim comes on for Casemiro.

This game is as good as over now. Alaves have played well in spells, they have had scoring chances, but Real Madrid are in control of the contest and will see this out for three points.

This has been far from Real Madrid's best performance of the season, but they are on course for another clean sheet. That has been key to their success over the course of the campaign.

There will be a minimum of six minutes of stoppage time played at the end of the match.

The TV cameras show Benzema sitting in the stand and it appears the Real Madrid striker might have picked up a bit of an injury. He has an ice pack on his hamstring!

That was a bad tackle down the back of Kroos' leg and the yellow card is meted out. No complaints.

And Isco comes on to replace Rodrygo, who had a good game this evening.

Here comes Hazard and he comes on for Benzema, which is an interesting change.

Looks like Zidane might be about to make a double change here. Hazard is stripped and ready to come on. The Belgian has been missing through injury this past couple weeks.

Casemiro has received some treatment and is hobbling off the pitch. That was genuinely a sore one for the Brazilian, but I expect that he will be fine to see out the rest of the game.

That challenge from Rodriguez has caused Casemiro some pain. He stood on the back of the Brazilian's foot and while he should be fine to continue, Casemiro is down on the ground in pain.

Zidane is pretty animated in his chat with his players during the second cooling break of the match. There's 10 minutes left in this game. Real Madrid must get over the line for a big three points.

Rodrygo shot saved! That was a nice attacking move from Real Madrid, with Vinicius setting up his countryman with a lovely flick, but Rodrygo sees his shot saved by Roberto!
