It was the Casemiro show for Real Madrid as they claimed three important points to clinch a 2-1 win over Sevilla. A draw might have been a fairer result, but this is what champions do - they win games they shouldn't win. Are Zidane's team starting to look like champions? They go three points clear at the top.

Militao with the block! That was excellent from Navas to get round the outside and to the byline, he was looking for de Jong in the middle with the pass, but Militao made the block!

Modric looked to be slowing down as a Real Madrid player not that long ago... he is 34 after all. But the Croatian has hit a rich vein of form in recent weeks and is playing well again.

Modric from distance! A corner kick was cleared to the edge of the box, the Croatian midfielder was running on to it, but he lashes a powerful drive wide of the target! That was a chance.

There's just 10 minutes left in this match and Sevilla are throwing players forward. Of course, the risk with that strategy is that it leaves so much space in behind for Real Madrid to expose.

Banega comes off for Sevilla. Was that because the Argentine is carrying a yellow card?

Benzema has offered very little since coming off the bench. It's quite clear that the French striker is lacking match fitness and sharpness. In truth, he shouldn't really be out there.

It must be said that Real Madrid have looked much more solid since Mendy came on for Marcelo. The Frenchman has seemingly replaced Marcelo as their first choice left back.

Great play from Vinicius sees the Brazilian winger work his way into the penalty area, but the youngster couldn't find a teammate in the middle. He still has to work on his final ball.

Chance for the hat-trick! The ball fell nicely to Casemiro just inside the box, but the Brazilian midfielder sends his shot wide of the far post when he should have at least tested Vaclik!
