Pedri is so exciting, so promising as a young talent that it has been suggested Messi might choose to stay at Barcelona to act as a mentor to a player who is on his same wavelength.

The emergence of Pedri has been arguably the biggest success story of Barcelona’s season so far. The teenager has very quickly become one of the most important players at the Camp Nou.

Pedri looked to have suffered a serious in the league win over Sevilla last weekend as he was stretchered off, but amazingly the teenager was back for the cup game against the same opponents just days later.

Injuries have been a problem for Barcelona recently, but there has been a balance to their performances of late. Koeman deserves some credit for keeping them on the straight and narrow.

No red card! Indeed, the card has been rescinded. Messi was marginally offside when the pass was played forward, although the Osasuna goalkeeper didn't know that when he brought him down!

Was Messi off?! The refreee has flashed a red card to Herrera for bringing down the Argentine when he was through on goal, but there was a flag up for offside. He might have got off the hook!

Messi has a shot blocked! Now the Barcelona number 10 gets a shot away from the edge of the opposition box, but his effort is blocked before it could reach the goal!

That was a warning sign for Barcelona. They afforded too much time to Ruben Garcia on the edge of the box and the strike he got away was a good one. Looked destined for the net.

Barcelona started the better of the two teams, but Osasuna are growing into the contest and are becoming more bold in the attacking third. They have the quality to cause problems!

Until recently, Griezmann looked to be fulfilling his potential as a Barcelona player, but the Frenchman found himself on the bench for the last three games. He is out of form again and needs a good game here.

Dembele has been in excellent form for Barcelona recently. He scored in back-to-back games against Sevilla and is finally flourishing with a string of games under his belt this season. Will we see him later?

Koeman has faced a lot of justified criticism this season, but Barcelona have improved over the course of the campaign and are now in one cup final and could still win the La Liga title.
