Sore one for Lenglet! The Barcelona centre back is caught by a boot by Deyverson. The Alaves forward is certainly making himself known in the opening exchanges of this match.

What makes Ansu so exceptional is how composed he tends to be in front of goal, but he got his angles wrong there. He was looking for the far corner of the Alaves net. Big chance.

ANSUUUUUUUU... wide! That should have been the opening goal from the birthday boy. He was played clean through by Lenglet, but Ansu sent his right-footed effort wide of the far post.

The long ball is a ploy Alaves use to great effect. Deyverson is good in the air, but they also like to play passes down the flanks for Edgar and Duarte. Already seen some of that.

That was a very ambitious pass from Deyverson. There was a much clearer option to play Edgar down the right side, but the forward elected to play the cross-field ball instead.

Pacheco is a good goalkeeper, but he will need to be in good form to keep Barcelona at bay this evening. On the other side, Neto is playing again for Barca as Ter Stegen is still injured.

Pass through! Messi attempted to play a pass through to Ansu, but Pacheco was quick off his line to gather the ball. That offers a hint of what we will see from these two tonight.

It's Barcelona who are seeing the majority of the ball in the early stages of this match, but Alaves are good at absorbing pressure. It will be up to the Catalans to break them down.

Roberto is back in the Barcelona team on the right side of the defence. Dest started in that position against Real Madrid. The American has started well since his move from Ajax.

Pedri played against Juventus during the week, but the teenager has been dropped out of the lineup for this match. The onus will fall on Dembele down the left wing tonight.
