Barcelona kicked off this match 13 points off the pace being set by Atletico Madrid at the top of La Liga. The title race is gone for Barca. The rest of this season is purely about making the top four.

Alba wanted a foul to spare his blushes. He was making the argument that de Marcos had pushed him as he attempted to clear the cross, but there was nothing in that at all.

That was just too easy for Athletic Club. The ease with which they scored that equaliser raises the question - why didn't the vistors try and attack Barcelona in the first 45 minutes?

Marcelino is surely desperate to get his players into the dressing room at half time. Whatever the game plan was, it hasn't worked in this first half for Athletic Club.

Good delivery! That was a good cross from a freekick in a dangerous position by Muniain, but there was nobody in a red and white shirt gambling on getting on the end of it.

Vencedor has gone down implying that he was struck in the face by the arm of Umtiti. The Barcelona centre back doesn't look happy about that at all. There was contact, though.

Williams attempted to thread through a pass to release de Marcos in behind the Barcelona defence, but the ball is cut out. There is space in behind to exploit!

Marcelino will want more from his team in the second half. Athletic Club just haven't managed to get on the ball often enough and they have done little with it when they have had it.

Dembele, Griezmann and Pedri are all shifting positions with Messi drifting in between them all. This is a very different Barcelona frontline to defend against due to their movement.
