Real Madrid have been the better team so far this evening and so Granada will have to up their game if they are to stand any chance of getting something from this fixture.

Granada are having a decent spell at the end of the first half, but there is always the threat of Real Madrid on the break. This time Silva makes the save from Vinicius.

Gutierrez has had an excellent first half here. Obviously he has contributed going forward with the assist for Modric's goal, but the youngster has also been strong defensively.

Molina is shown a yellow card for catching Casemiro on the stretch.

That was a good chance for Real Madrid on the counter attack, but the pass from Benzema was cut out before it could reach Modric and Granada survive.

The referee has flashed his first yellow card of the match and it's to Militao.

Zidane will surely be quietly happy with what he has seen from his team in this first half. Real Madrid have been on top from the start, but they could do with a second goal!

This latest injury to Mendy means that Real Madrid are currently without their first choice back four - Mendy, Carvajal, Varane and Ramos. Vazquez is also out injured at the moment!

It was announced earlier in the week that Mendy will miss the rest of the season through injury and will be a doubt for the Euros this summer. That’s a shame as he has had a good year.

Benzema with the shot! Real Madrid come flying forward on the counter attack through Valverde with the pass played out to Benzema, but the French striker gets it wrong and lashes wide.

There’s a good argument that Courtois is currently the best goalkeeper in football right now. The Belgian has been in excellent form. If Real Madrid win La Liga again this season, he will have been a big factor.

Courtois comes out! Molina's touch was a good one to control a ball over the top of the Real Madrid defence, but the Belgian goalkeeper was quick to come off his line and smother it.
