Domenech drops Vazquez's cross but recovers to stop any further damage to the scoreline.

Good play from Arribas and Isco on the right hand side eventually leads to a cross from Lucas into the box but it is too far in front of Diaz.

Correira's ball eventually found Racic at the far post but he could only guide an effort into the side-netting.

Mordic and Benzema are rreplaced by Isco and Diaz as their coach has an eye on the big games on the horizon.

Mendy has another chance as Benzema fires the ball to him in the box but the French full back can't quite get the ball under control.

Substitute Arribas comes in from the right wing and drives an effort towards the near post but Domenech gets down to stop it.

Benzema is getting some joy down the inside left channel and on this occasion drives a ball across Domenech but the keeper manages to clear the danger.

Arribas comes on for Asensio in Real Madrid's second change.

Modric stylishly created room to shoot at goal from long range but was well wide of the target.

Oliva and Kang-in Lee come on for Soler and Wass for the visitors.

Actually the offside was given from the ball that looked like a square pass from Vinicius but Mendy's toe was just offside from a ball perhaps played at 91 degrees.

Goal disallowed! Vinicius Junior was just offside from the initial long ball played over the top for him.

GOAL FOR REAL! Mendy nets for Real, easily side-stepping Ferro in the box after receiving a square ball from Vinicius Junior in the box and then powerfully stroked the ball to Domenech's right while showing the goalkeeper the eyes to put him off the scent.

Modric seemed to be looking for an opening to shoot but found Benzema in the left hand side of the area whose effort was blocked by Correira.

Correira's cross is only cleared to the edge of the box by Lucas and Soler drives goalwards but Varane blocked the effort.

Vincius Junior pulls the ball back from the left wing to Kross 25 yards from goal which the German fives low at goal but wide of the near post.

Valencia's best football of the game so far. By a mile. It ends with Maxi Gomez firing a bullet from 25 yards which Courtois saved very well diving to his left.

It should have been a goal there as Modric slid the ball through for Asensio with Correira playing him on across the field but the young forward can't bring the ball under control.
