It feels like Sevilla are starting to get a grip of this game after a very difficult start. Lopetegui will be relieved his side are still level because Real Madrid had a golden chance through Vinicius.

A lot was expected of Sevilla this season, but they have so far struggled to meet those expectations. Some even had them down as potential title challengers after a good 2019/20 season.

Real Madrid are pushing high up the pitch and that is causing Bono some real problems. The Sevilla goalkeeper has already got away with one gaffe, but he hasn't changed his approach.

Nacho has been favoured over Militao to start alongside Varane. There's just something about Militao that Varane doesn't like in terms of playing alongside. They're not a good mix.

Real Madrid are in complete control in the early stages of this match. Sevilla are actually struggling to get out from inside their own half. Bono can't find a teammate from his goal kicks.

Casemiro takes aim! The Brazilian midfielder was afforded some space 20 yards out, but his shot from outside the penalty area was never likely to find the back of the Sevilla net.

A very bright start from Real Madrid who could have opened the scoring in the opening minute. Vinicius was entitled to take on the shot himself, but Benzema wanted the cut back.

Across the face! So close to being an early opener for Real Madrid! Rodrygo slots the pass into Vinicius, he controls and smashes a shot at goal. His effort flashes right across the face of goal!
