Barca aren't having many issues getting in behind Alaves her. They are completelt dominant so far.

Quickest move from Barca wins a first corner. Busquets does well to find Alba, whose cross is cleared. Corner comes to nothing.

At the other end, Depay gets the better of Navarro and crosses. Aguero tries to flick it back into the area at the far post, but again it comes to nothing.

Rioja crosses for Joselu in Alaves' most adventurous move yet, but he can't find either him or Lejeune.

Barca come forward and Agueto chips in towards Dest at the far post, Rioja clears.

Xavi returning would certainly be interesting, but he'd have his work cut out. For Barcelona, though, it must be about getting identity back; their defence and midfield is entirely made up of players from La Masia.

Can Aguero get a goal tonight? There is no Ansu Fati in the squad, so they'll need some inspiration...

It won't be easy, that is for sure. Alaves may be 16th in La Liga, but they've won their last two games and will sense a wounded animal tonight. It should be a cracking game.

In the meantime, Sergi Barjuan, the B team coach, is in interim charge. It is down to him to put the nightmares against Real Madrid and Rayo Vallecano behind Barca tonight.

New start again for Barcelona. Debt is their big issue, but Koeman was a problem president Joan Laporta admitted he should have dealt with sooner. Xavi Hernandez is favourite.
