While Barcelona have played well in the midfield and the attacking third of the pitch, there's still a sense that their high line isn't quite right. It's giving Elche a chance.

Another Roco chance! For the second time in the match, Roco gets in behind the Barcelona defence, but this time the Elche defender is flagged offside. That was clear.

Xavi will surely be pleased with what he has seen from his team in this first half. There has been an intensity to Barcelona's play and Elche haven't been able to handle it.

Dembele goes himself! The Barcelona winger drives down the right side and plays a cross into the middle. The ball comes back to him, but his scuffed shot ends up in the side netting.

Barcelona are doing a good job of controlling this match. They have a two goal lead and they are doing their best to make sure Elche don't have a chance to get back in the game.

Shot is saved! Dembele plays a good ball for Jutgla in behind, but the save is made by Badia to prevent the Barcelona youngster from doubling his tally in this first half.

Chance for de Jong! The Barcelona midfielder is played in behind the opposition defence, but he went for the first-time finish and scuffed his shot! That was a good opportunity!

Should have scored! That was a warning sign for Barcelona who were caught out at the back. Roco controlled the pass on his chest, but could only fire over the top of the target!

Those two goals have seen Barcelona grow in confidence and there is a sense that they could add at least one more goal before the half time interval. Elche are struggling.

Chipped! Now Gavi attempts an audacious effort from the edge of the box, but that was never going to beat the goalkeeper who was back on his line. Nonetheless, Barca playing with confidence.

Well, that escalated quickly. Two good goals scored by two Barcelona youngsters and now the Catalans appear to be in complete control of this La Liga fixture. Well on top!

What a sensational solo effort by Gavi who beats his man 30 yards out from goal, dribbles to the edge of the Elche penalty area and slots a low finish into the back of the net off the inside of the post!

Jutgla had started the match brightly and he now has a goal to show for his efforts. Have we just witnessed the birth of a new superstar at the Camp Nou? The youngster looks good!

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Barcelona 1 (19 mins - Ferran Jutgla) Elche 0. Barcelona take the lead and it's the youngster Jutgla who scores his first La Liga goal! The marking from Elche was slack at the corner kick and Jutlga rose higher than anyone else inside the area to glance a header into the far corner of the net!

PICTURE: Xavi has made some big decisions!

Elche are clearly looking to exploit the space in behind the Barcelona full backs with long balls into those areas. It's not a bad idea and Barca look slightly uncomfortable with it.
