This match has had just about everything, but it now looks like Barcelona will start their La Liga season with three points. They have been the better team on the whole!

The biggest question for Barcelona this season as they move on from the Messi era is - where will the goals come from? They don’t have a player who will score a guaranteed 20+ goals.

There are so many problems currently being experienced at Barcelona that it can be easy to overlook how Koeman’s team still managed to make progress in some areas last season.

If Koeman can build his team around the young talent at the Camp Nou, Barcelona can still look forward to a successful and enjoyable season. There is the core of something good.
