Things looked rather bleak for Real Madrid before the international break after some poor results and performances, but they have done well to bounce back since then.

Against Barcelona, Ancelotti’s game plan appeared to be focused on keeping things tight at the back before hitting out on the counter attack through Benzema, Rodrygo and Vinicius.

That was a waste! Vinicius did so well at the byline to cut the pass back into the Osasuna box, Carvajal got on the end of it, but the Real Madrid right back puts his shot well wide!

It's been quite a subdued start to the match at the Santiago Bernabeu, but Real Madrid are in control. They have their foot on the ball with Osasuna struggling to get out from the back.

Carvajal was in behind! The Real Madrid right back made a run down the wing, the pass nearly found him, but Herrera comes off his line to make the intervention. Osasuna survive.

Vinicius Junior was also impressive for Real Madrid as they claimed all three points against Barcelona at the weekend. The Brazilian has sharpened his final product in front of goal this season.

David Alaba was particularly impressive in the Clasico victory at the Camp Nou. Indeed, the Austrian scored the first goal of the match and controlled things for Real Madrid.

Real Madrid can be pleased with the work they put in against Barcelona at the Camp Nou on Sunday. Their game plan was simple, but it was enough to get the better of the Catalans.
