Asked about their long wait for an away win against Bordeaux before the match, Marseille midfielder Amine Harit said: "These are the vagaries of football. Every curse is meant to be broken.

BORDEAUX UNHAPPY AT HAVING TO PLAY
This game is set to go ahead despite Bordeaux submitting a formal request for a postponement earlier this week owing to an ongoing Covid outbreak at the club. On Wednesday, the club announced that 17 members of the first-team squad were "unavailable for Covid-related reasons".
Speaking before the match, Bordeaux sporting director Admar Lopes said: "The players are entertainers and we do not respect their physical and psychological state… I am very disappointed with the situation." Les Girondins have a 44-year unbeaten home record against their old rivals, which is now in serious jeopardy.
