Bentley sends in a fizzing volleyed cross but West Brom clear and coutner! Thomas zips past Davies and tries to slip it through to Brunt but Liam Ridgewell cuts out the pass. Good chance goes begging.

Brunt spies Scharner unmarked inside the box, but the Austrian's nod down to Fortune is wide of the mark and Birmingham clear. The home side are on top now.

Martins has his first touch for what feels like an age, and he gives the ball away with a poor pass.

Beausejour makes steady progress down the left before finally getting his cross in, but it doesn't find a team-mate. West Brom try to launch a break but Carr tidies up to snuff out the attack.

Jerome now recovers possession and does well to shield it from Brunt as he slips over. The striker turns and surges forward before his shot takes a deflection and rolls tamely to Carson.
