What's the betting on Robbie Keane to score tonight as he debuts for the eighth different club of his career. He scored twice on his debut in league football for Wolves in 1997, and then netted twice on his league debut for Coventry City in 1999. Since then he has failed to score on his debut for his last five clubs.

A couple of milestones tonight. This will be Avram Grant’s 50th match as a Premier League manager since leaving Chelsea. He has won nine, drawn 15 and lost 25 matches in charge of Portsmouth and West Ham, while Scott Parker is set to make his 100th Premier League appearance for the Hammers.

And in total, the opposition have found the Hammers' net 43 times – equal-most in the division with West Brom.

But West Ham have failed to win in their last three Premier League matches, conceding ten goals and have kept one clean sheet in their last 11 – a 2-0 home victory against Wolves on New Year’s Day.

At the other end, they've conceded in their last 10 Premier League matches. If West ham hit the back of the Blackpool net tonight, they'll be only the third team in Premier League history to concede in their opening 11 home matches. Southampton and Bolton are the other teams with the unenviable record.

Bloomfield Road is the place to go for goals. Blackpool have scored in each of their last 31 home league matches, since a goalless draw with Derby County in August 2009, and have racked up a total of 34 Premier League goals. Only Bolton in the bottom half of the table can match them.

And the Seasiders have failed to win their last five league matches against West Ham, since a 2-1 home victory in the old Division One in March 1966.

History slightly favours the Hammers. The Londoners have won 16 of their 41 meetings, Blackpool 14 and there have been 11 draws.

Forty years on, West Ham are again bidding to beat the drop, but Blackpool are also in danger of being sucked into the relegation mire after a shocking run of form which has seen them lose five of their last six matches. Their last win came against Liverpool on January 12.

This will be the first time Blackpool have hosted the Hammers since 1971, a season when the Seasiders were relegated from the top flight, with West Ham barely beating the drop themselves.
