Al Habsi makes a stunning stop to deny Torres his first goal for the club. Played in by Benayoun, but the Wigan keeper was alive to the danger as he clawed it wide.

Torres on the charge for Chelsea. Smashes a shot at goal, but an easy enough save for Al Habsi.

Lampard can shoot or look to play in Torres. In the end, he does neither as he passes straight into the gloves of Al Habsi.

Sammon tries give Alex the slip in the area. The ball breaks kindly off the home defender as Cech collects the ball.

It was a header by Di Santo seconds ago. That could easily have ended up nestling in the net, but Cech got across to make the stop.

Another change coming for Wigan. Diame departs to be replaced by Victor Moses for the visiting side.

Cole gives the ball away but then so does Alcaraz. Fine tackle by Boyle to halt the run of Torres in the area.

Decent effort by Di Santo! Wigan's best effort of the half, but Cech dived to make the save before clasping the ball at the second attempt.

Al Habsi dives bravely at the feet of Drogba to hold up the big striker in the box. Wigan still in with a chance at 1-0 behind.

Wigan would dearly love an equaliser. Difficult to see where it is coming from as Diame fires a shot at goal that is saved by Cech.

Cleverley tries to pick out Di Santo, but too much pace on the ball. Chelsea can take their time before moving forward again.

Figueroa back to knock the ball away from Malouda as he prepared to pull the trigger. Malouda's corner is cleared by Wigan.

Luiz making sure Di Santo can't cause any mayhem in the Chelsea half. Chelsea have a goalkick that Cech fires down the pitch.

Drogba floats over a fine corner kick for Chelsea. Met by Ivanovic at the near post, but he can only guide his header wide of the goal. Wigan living dangerously out there.
