How did that not go in? Silva played in Tevez, he was pushed wide by Robinson, but he managed to get a shot off that was blocked by a Rovers defender. Tevez retrieved the ball and teed up Jo, who had the goal at his mercy, but Christopher Samba, managed to stick his right leg out and deflect the ball over.

Paul Robinson is there again - saving at the feet of Kolo Toure. He's been inspirational.

City's best player this afternoon Adam Johnson has been brought off by Roberto Mancini. Strange decision. On comes David Silva.

Christopher Samba does excellently to cut out a dangerous cross.

Big call for a penalty!!! Johnson skipped past Pascal Chimbonda and was then felled by Christopher Samba, but City's appeals fell on deaf ears.

Save from Joe Hart! Mame Diouf played in Nikola Kalinic and as he pulled the trigger Hart flew off his line to block the shot.

Paul Robinson has saved his team again. Counter attack from City, Tevez played the ball through to Jo, Rovers' defenders held him up, but he managed to get his shot off. Robinson dived to his right and made another fantastic save.

El-Hadji Diouf should have done better there. Blackburn broke away and he had options to his left, but he hesitated and ended up doing nothing.

Another fantastic save from Paul Robinson. Adam Johnson laid the ball inside to Gareth Barry and his left foot shot looked destined for goal, until Robinson's outstretched left hand turned it around the post.

With 20 minutes to go, you can sense the tension in the City of Manchester Stadium. Is this going to be another disappointing result?

City are enjoying a lot of the ball, but they're not doing anything with it. Blackburn are manning the barricades very effectively.
