Both sides enter this fixture with a degree of vulnerability, however: Wigan have won just one of their last twelve league games, while Blackburn have lost all ten games this season where they have gone behind first. The DW hasn't been a happy hunting ground for Rovers in recent times, either - no win in their last three trips and nine goals conceded altogether.

Stoke's dramatic 3-2 win over Sunderland in today's early kick-off means Rovers begin their Northwest derby against Wigan tenth in the Premier League table. They'll fancy their chances of regaining some ground by 5pm, though: Blackburn have defeated the Latics three times in their last four meetings, the other being a draw.

BLACKBURN TEAM NEWS: Three changes by manager Sam Allardyce, with Dunn, Andrews and Diouf dropping to the bench to make way in the starting XI for Brett Emerton, Benjani and Morten Gamst Pedersen.

WIGAN TEAM NEWS: Skipper Gary Caldwell misses out after sustaining a fractured cheekbone at West Brom, but Maynor Figueroa has shaken off a hamstring problem and starts today. Victor Moses comes in for Franco Di Santo, who will have to come off the bench to face his former club.
