Gervinho again the man with the ball at his feet inside the Fulham box. This time his attempted pass is intercepted.

Murphy swings in a Fulham free-kick from deep on the right and Brede Hangeland heads it over the bar! That has to go down as a good chance for the big Norwegian defender.

Replays show there may be been a little contact, but Gervinho didn't seem too bothered about appealing.

Van Persie stabs the ball into the path of Gervinho in the area. The forward skips over the challenge of Senderos in the area but then goes down... Referee Lee Probert looks away disinterested!

Johan Djourou gets himself into a bit of a muddle in possession which ultimately leads to a Fulham attack. Play is switched to Zamora whose drilled low shot is blocked and held by Wojciech Szczesny.

Van Persie has scored 19 goals in his last 18 Premier League away appearances.

Robin van Persie swings in a corner to the far post where Gervinho drifts in and side foots high and wide from a tight angle!

A lovely weaving run forward from Laurent Koscielny, but his pass out wide to Gervinho has too much on it and runs out of play.

Much better from Fulham as Steve Sidwell and Bobby Zamora team up to win the ball in midfield. Play comes to Bryan Ruiz whose cross rebounds off a defender and Zamora almost tees himself up with an outrageous bit of skill only to be denied.

John Arne Riise sends a long throw into the Arsenal box. The ball is headed half clear and Danny Murphy fires way over the bar with his reaction shot.

Very promising start from Arsenal, while Fulham look as though they haven't warmed up yet. Sluggish from the home side.

Right away Arsenal build a promising attack. Theo Walcott's cross makes it across to Gervinho on the other side of the pitch and the Ivorian fires over the bar!

Every Arsenal fan must be struggling to contain their glee at the news Thierry Henry will be rejoining the club on a short-term loan deal. Sadly, the Arsenal legend has not officially completed his move yet, so he is not available for this match, but it won't be long.

Fulham have actually won at home against Arsenal on a couple of occasions in recent years. In August 2008 Brede Hangeland's goal was enough to seal a 1-0, while in November 2006 a 2-1 win for the Cottagers featured goals from Brian McBride, Tomasz Radzinski and some chap called Robin van Persie.

Fulham could move as high as 11th in the table with a rare win over the Gunners. Arsenal will move back up into fourth place with a win following Chelsea's victory at Wolves earlier on Monday. They could even go third above Tottenham if they win at Craven Cottage by a hatful this evening, though their north London rivals will have two games in hand on them.

Arsene Wenger has never been defeated by Martin Jol in PL fixtures - winning four and drawing four.

Philippe Senderos made 64 PL appearances for Arsenal from 2003-10. He started in the 2005 FA Cup Final victory over Manchester United – the last time Arsenal won a trophy.
