Piledriver from Rooney into the top left from range but the whistle had gone for an Evans foul. He got the ball but slid in two-footed.

Welbeck almost turns Skrtel to race in but his touch lets him down.

Rooney on the left almost slides Welbeck in but cleared by Henderson.

Phew. Not the most enthralling half of football but pantomime villain Suarez certainly gives us talking points, doesn't he? I understand I have upset some by taking a strong line against Suarez's refusal to shake Evra's hand before the match - despite being told to by Dalglish.
