Adebayor holds the ball up before laying it off for Scott Parker. The former Newcastle man's shot is speculative, but it takes a deflection and Spurs have another corner.

Bale twists and turns near the corner flag and Gutierrez tracks back to help out and concedes a corner. Spurs play the short routine, which doesn't work, but they manage to keep the pressure on.

Demba Ba tussles with Younes Kaboul and draws the foul on the halfway line. Kaboul was sent off for Spurs when they beat Newacastle 2-0 at White Hart Lane last December.

Gareth Bale is popping up on the right wing for Spurs. He sneaks the ball into Adebayor's feet inside the box but the ball ends up in Tim Krul's hands.

Emmanuel Adebayor lets Benoit Assou-Ekotto's pass run through the box to Rafael van der Vaart. Ryan Taylor makes the tackle and gets the wind knocked out of him as he collides with the Dutchman.
