Cahill tries to join the party. Lets flies from 45 yards. The result is a throw-in to Chelsea as the ball spins out of play.

Lampard picks out Moses, who is forced to retrieve the ball after his initial touch is found wanting. Chelsea setting up camp in the home half.

Lampard sends a thumping free-kick low through the wall. Guzan does just enough to keep it out with the help of a post. So close to a Chelsea equaliser.

Mata looking for Moses but Villa have plenty of bodies back before Agbonlahor sends Hazard tumbling to the ground.

Six of Chelsea’s seven Premier League defeats this season have come when they have conceded the opening goal. They have only won twice from this position – 2-1 at Everton (Dec 30) and 2-1 at home to Sunderland (Apr 7).
