That's Sunderland's best moment so far! Danny Rose inside to Johnson who finds Sessegnon, and the 20-yard shot is rather fumbled behind by Myhill.

Once again Sunderland defend solidly. But they are not exactly setting this match alight...
15'
Corner in from the West Brom right - there's a real throng of bodies in there and it goes behind for another corner.
14'
Naughty! Cattermole leaps in on Yacob and that looks like a certain card - but Mike Dean does not agree! There was not much contact AND he got the ball - but he jumped in and that is normally AT LEAST a yellow..
12'
Danny Rose plays a diagonal ball towards Larsson but it goes over his head...
11'
West Brom playing with a lot of confidence. We shouldn't be surprised after their superb start to the season under Steve Clarke.

The free-kick is headed away as far as Brunt, who hoists a high ball towards Yacob who is beaten in the air. Goal kick.

O'Shea upends Long in a tangle of legs 30 yards from the Sunderland goal - Mike Dean shows the game's first yellow card.

A lane opens up for Odemwingie as he drives through the middle - he hits a 25-yard shot that is deflected but Mignolet makes an easy save.
7'
West Brom dominating possession early on. No chances yet, but they are making all the running in terms of completed passes. Sunderland happy to play on the break.

Chance for Johnson as Sessegnon finds him on the left - the winger cuts inside and fires off a right-foot shot, bringing a good low save from Myhill.
4'
West Brom pass the ball around just inside Sunderland territory. The home team not much interested in closing down.
3'
Sunderland break at pace down the right but Bardsley's cross into the box is a stinker, straight into the arms of Myhill.
2'
Played in to the feet of Long at the edge of the box, but he is quickly dispossessed by Cuellar.

West Brom kick off. Pleasingly, both teams are in their striped 'home' kits.

Out come the teams! Still a few empty seats at a chilly Stadium of Light. Fans still taking their seats.
12:40
Now there's a stat - courtesy of David Jones on Sky: Sunderland haven't beaten a team with 11 men since 10th March. They beat Liverpool 1-0 on that occasion - since then they have beaten QPR (Cisse s/o), Wigan (Gomez s/o) and Fulham (Hangeland s/o).
12:35
Peter Odemwingie has netted four goals in four Premier League appearances against the Black Cats. There have been four goals scored inside the opening 10 minutes of the last three Premier League meetings between Sunderland and West Brom – three of those by the Baggies.
12:30
Martin O’Neill’s side have won just one of their last eight Premier League games at the Stadium of Light (W1 D5 L2). Sunderland have only scored five goals in their last eight home Premier League matches.
