Martin Jol: "They have a big squad and my experience is if you rest five or six players like they did at Inter then there is no problem. They had (Aaron) Lennon come on and get a few minutes and that is a positive thing for them. I don’t see a problem for them. This month was very annoying for us because we will only have two games – Sunderland and this game. That is not what you want. There are other teams in the cups, like Spurs, and I think it is better to keep your rhythm than not."

It looks a tough task for Fulham this afternoon. Spurs have won their last six Barclays Premier League games in a row against Fulham, this after winning only five of the previous 17.

Andre Villas-Boas on losing 4-1 to Inter Milan: "I think the organisation wasn't there because their mind wasn't there. Every goal for Inter Milan was a boost of motivation for them and a knife in the back for us."

FULHAM NEWS: Martin Jol has an unchanged squad. Steve Sidwell has shaken off a knock picked up since their last outing, a 2-2 draw against Sunderland a fortnight ago, and trained on Friday morning. But fellow midfielder Mahamadou Diarra is still missing with a knee injury which could rule him out for the rest of the season.

SPURS NEWS: Gareth Bale returns to the squad and winger Aaron Lennon should return to the starting line-up after he came off the bench in Milan following his recovery from a hamstring injury. Former Fulham forward Clint Dempsey (calf) is expected to be available, but defender Younes Kaboul and midfielder Sandro (both knee) are out.

Fulham have two games in hand over tenth placed Stoke City and a win would take them two points above the Potters. A victory for Spurs would see them close to within two points of second placed Manchester City.
