Alexis Sanchez was the difference and scored a brace as Arsenal ran out 3-0 winners over Burnley at the Emirates Stadium.
Sanchez starred throughout the 90 minutes and after watching his side toil in front of goal for much of the match, finally broke the deadlock on 70 minutes.
Calum Chambers settled nerves just two minutes later with his first for the club before Sanchez ensured the points with his second of the game, capping a virtuoso performance.
The home side were on the front foot for much of the contest, enjoying large spells of possession as Burnley relied on resolute defending and a few moments of magic from goalkeeper Tom Heaton to keep the scoreline level at the break.
Sean Dyche’s men, who went into the clash at the Emirates rooted to the bottom of the table, had notched just five goals in their first nine fixtures and looked toothless on the rare occasion they found themselves in the final third.
The win moves Arsenal into the top four – nine points behind leaders Chelsea – whilst Burnley continue the search for their first win of the season.

KEY MOMENTS
13’ - CHANCE FOR WELBECK!! Sanchez holds the ball on the edge of the penalty area before rolling it into the path of the onrushing Welbeck. The striker dummies his way past three challenges before firing on goal, but Trippier makes the block.
27’ - CAZORLA GOES CLOSE! Sanchez rolls Arfield on the right flank and sends Oxlade-Chamberlain down the wing. The pacy winger moves to the byline before pulling the ball back into the path of Cazorla, who volleys narrowly wide from 18 yards.
40’ - GREAT SAVE FROM HEATON! Sanchez drifts out wide and is found by Cazorla's clever through ball. The winger cuts inside and bears down on goal, looking to curl the ball into the far corner, but Heaton makes a great stop.
66' - WHAT A BLOCK!!!!! A swift Arsenal moved carves the Clarets open. Sanchez's clever through ball finds the overlapping Chambers, who pulls the ball back from the byline. It catches Heaton out and all Cazorla must do is slide the ball home from four yards, but Duff's tremendous sliding challenge blocks the shot.
70' - GOAL!!! Arsenal 1-0 Burnley. Arsenal finally break the deadlock, and nobody deserves it more than Sanchez. Chambers sends in a clever cross from the right, but it's all about the Chilean, whose run is magnificent, as is his header from six yards.

72' - GOAL!!! Arsenal 2-0 Burnley. Two quick goals for the home side and a first for Chambers. Welbeck initially looks to turn in an Arsenal corner, but Heaton is on hand to make the save. Chambers is first to it, however, and prods home from three yards.
84' - INCREDIBLE STOP FROM HEATON!! Cazorla's corner from the left finds an unmarked Podolski at the far post. The German volleys at goal but is foiled by the keeper, who somehow gets his hand to it.
86' - WHAT A STRIKE!! Podolski almost snaps the post in half with a thunderous volley from six yards, but watches the ball fly to safety.
90+1' - GOAL!!! Arsenal 3-0 Burnley. Sanchez gets his second of the game and Arsenal have their third. Gibbs crosses from the left and Burnley fail to deal with it, allowing Sanchez to sneak in and tap home from six yards

TALKING POINT
Can Alexis Sanchez fire Arsenal to Premier League glory? On current form, he's looking like the only man capable of doing so. The Chilean has been a revelation since his mega-money move from Barcelona, and has been the difference on a number of occasions this season. Welbeck has contributed to Arsenal's goal haul, but, other than Sanchez, there's a real lack of quality in the final third. The Gunners trail Chelsea by nine points already, so the chances of a first league title in 10 years are slim, but if Sanchez continues in the same manner then anything is possible...
MAN OF THE MATCH
Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal): It simply had to be. The Chilean was the best player on the pitch by a mile; working tirelessly in every area of the pitch. Two goals and at the heart of everything Arsenal did well; it was a truly memorable performance.
