Some better passing from Villa but it comes to nothing. Cardiff move the ball quickly but the forward was dispossessed easily enough.

El Ahmadi shoots just wide from 25 yards! He's had the space to do that twice now and was close both times.

Cardiff pass the ball around Villa in their own half. It's becoming clear why Lambert has more away wins as Villa manager than home wins. His team haven't asserted themselves at all in midfield, relying instead on balls played into Benteke from their own half. It's like they're playing an away game.

Under good pressure, Vlaar hoofs the ball out for a Cardiff throw. Neat pressing from Cardiff but it doesn't get them anywhere.

The Cardiff City Twitter account has a different account of the Bellamy free kick. 'Top corner,' it reckons.

Cardiff, who have had the better of recent minutes, cross the ball into the Villa area but Guzan comes out to catch confidently enough.

Bellamy takes it. It is bad. Very bad. He swings it neatly into the arms of Guzan, who gratefully receives it.

Bellamy is fouled just outside the Villa penalty area and Cardiff have a dangerous free kick.

The ball bounces around in midfield. It seems the goals from this game are being used in the Liverpool game instead - they're 2-0 up.

Villa press Cardiff in their own half, but they competently keep the ball. Until Odemwingie does another offside.
