Everton work the ball down the right but the cross from Coleman is too high. Pienaar picks it up but he too lacks accuracy and sees the ball bounce away off a red shirt.

Baines whips in a free-kick and Mirallas leaps to meet the ball but can only direct his header off target.

Cardiff try to release Campbell through the middle but Distin is equal to him in a sprint and that’s good defensive work by the Frenchman.

Campbell lashes a shot over the bar for Cardiff but he is penalised, rightly, for offside.

Everton work the ball infield through Pienaar but Jelavic takes the ball off the feet of Barkley when the youngster was perhaps better placed to take it on.

The Cardiff fans are in full voice this afternoon. Sounds like a great atmosphere in South Wales.

Everton find Fellaini from the corner but the Belgian tries to hold off his man and get a shot away instead of taking the obvious pass to Baines and Cardiff are able to resist.
