Osman found space in midfield. Much like Deulefeu in the first half he dribbled into the West Ham box with no pressure before scuffing his shot and having the ball ricochet off him and out for a goal kick.

Tomkins attempts a long ball but it is blocked by Osman. The ball goes out of play.

West Ham trying to take the sting out of the game. They've got the ball on the left wing in the corner and are taking their time with everything. Downing eventually drifts one in but it goes far too wide.

Pienaar again as Baines breaks down the left again. He cuts back to Pienaar but his gets under his shot and it flies up and over the crossbar.

Baines with a free kick on the left wing. Taken by Deulefeu but it is cleared by the first man.

Baines again flying down the left and crosses to Osman. His first touch is brilliant but he can't move quickly enough to get to the ball ahead of Noble who was covering. He plays it back to Adrian who then clears.

Howard rushed in to a clearance which flies out of play. West Ham with some good pressing there higher up the pitch.

Baines cuts back to Pienaar on the edge of the area. He side foots it onto the far post and the ball falls to Deulefeu who scuffs his shot and Adrian clutches it gleefully. Should have been 1-0.

West Ham get us underway in the second half. Lets hope it is a tad more exciting than the first. A goal would be nice.

That was a poor half of football. Everton good in possession but not penetrative enough. West Ham good defensively but offering little as an attacking unit.

Downing takes and finds Demel at the far post who forces a corner off Baines.

Stones goes flying in to a tackle on Jarvis on the left wing to give away a dangerous free-kick just before half time.

Baines does brilliantly to run through to the byline and cut the ball back to Naismith. The Scot can only head back to Osman who takes a shot from the edge of the area but it is blocked by Collins.

Noble swings it in to the far post but there is no pace on the ball and Tomkins does well just to win it. It goes harmlessly wide.

Downing knocks the ball past Baines and the left back just steps across the winger to give away a foul on the right touchline. Looked soft but Baines wasn't playing the ball.

Osman in space on the left feeds it in to Pienaar who tries to play it back to Osman but Demel got back. The South African looks frustrated as he walks back and throws his arms out.

Carroll down with a head injury and referee Jonathan Moss stops play. Having seen the replay it doesn't look like a head injury but play stops anyway while the big man gets treatment.

Brilliant from Deolefeu! He dribbled from the half way line to the edge of the area. At one point surrounded by four players he wriggled his way left and right before unleashing a left footed shot from 18 yards which just flew wide of the left post.

Deolefeu totally outpaces Jarvis on the right wing and whips a low cross in but Adrian does brilliantly to gather.

Bad pass from Noble put Tomkins in all kinds of trouble with Deolefeu closing him down. All he could do was knock the ball out for a throw deep in his own territory.

Pienaar broke through the middle as West Ham had committed players forward. He tries to play in Baines on the left but Jarvis tracked the run all the way and clears for a corner. Barry meets the corner but can't direct it goalwards as it flies well wide of the right post.
