City, to the surprise of perhaps only a hobo or two in West London, are dominating the early position but Fulham are pressing well with bundles of energy.

Again, Aguero is out with a calf injury. Man City have lost their last three PL away matches he has not played in (at Aston Villa, Spurs and Everton).

City's decision to start with Joe Hart in goal will please Roy Hodgson but does not really hint as to whether he is permanently back in the frame - Fulham, after all, are very goal shy. Do you think Hart is back as no.1? Tweet away at @EurosportCom_EN

More on Berbatov - he picked up a knock in training yesterday and is not being risked ahead of his January move to (insert name of big-spending club in second-rate league).

Manuel Pellegrini: "It is incredible that the games are so near. I think that to play two games in less than 72 hours is not a good thing, the players are not recovered in less than 72 hours normally. Playing after 40 hours, I think, is a very bad thing. It is a lot of games and in this case we are not in the best situation. I don't know because it is very important, here in the Premier League, all these days like Boxing Day. But all the other countries stop and I think it is very important."

Joe Hart! The end. For City there is no Aguero, who is out for up to two months, meaning Edin Dzeko leads the line alongside Alvaro Negredo. Stevan Jovetic is a few weeks short of returning to the first team. Pablo Zabaleta is out for a fortnight, meaning Kolarov plays right-back (or Clichy, we'll see how they line up on the field).

A name notable by its absence is that of Dimitar Berbatov, who has been linked with a move away from Fulham and is not even in the squad. He was not a fitness doubt but there are reports that he has picked up an injury in the last few days. Adel Taarabt leads the line instead, with Darren Bent on the bench and Hugo Rodallega not quite fit yet.
