Good work from Hooper and he gets beyond Turner. He shoots but Caulker gets across to block well.

Dangerous cross in from Snodgrass and Cardiff clear. He gets another chance and fizzes it in but Marshall gathers.

A fairly lively start here. Both sides throwing men forward. Martin wins Norwich another corner.

Campbell caught just offside otherwise he would have had a chance on goal.

Shot comes in from Olsson and it flies over the bar. Not far over and worth a go with Cardiff sitting deep.

Good work from Pilkington down the left and he wins a first corner for Norwich.

Straight up the other end, Campbell almost has a chance in the box but can’t turn and get his shot away. Half chance.

Howson tries to engineer a chance but has the ball taken off him in the box. A Cardiff player was down but Norwich played on. No quarter given!

Malky Mackay: "Carrow Road can be a very intimidating place to play. I was there the year we won promotion. It was the year they opened the new stand and there were 28,000 there every week and the atmosphere was incredible a lot of the time. It was the Championship at the time, but the crowds were big and very vocal. I’ll ever forget playing in that atmosphere and I do look back on my time there with a great deal of fondness."

Cardiff City come in to this game off the back of two successive defeats in the league – they have not lost three successive league games since November 2009.

Chris Hughton: "We are very conscious of the fact that we’re at home. One of the plusses is that we’re in good form at the moment. We’ve been beaten in the last two games by top teams who will both be pushing for the league title, but we’ve played well in spells. We’re on the back of a very good home performance against Chelsea, and we were really disappointed to not get something from the game. The generally feeling was that we couldn’t have given any more that day."

Norwich City have lost two successive home games in the league – they have not lost three in a row at home in league competition since February 2006.

Today’s match is an important one for both sides. A win from Norwich will take them out of the relegation zone whilst either a draw or loss could see Cardiff drop into it.
