Sam Allardyce: "It is a six-pointer already. We'll get a Norwich City team that will come and fight for everything. You can play your best against the big boys, give all you've got and be very, very good but still lose a game of football because of the amount of talent and the money they have spent. I always focus on these, they are the bigger games for us, the games you need to play at your best and give yourself a chance."

Chris Hughton: "We are all very much united here. The chief executive and directors have been very supportive and we are all pulling in the same direction. A win or two would change the situation dramatically."

However, they have struggled for goals this season - Norwich have not scored more than once in a league game since the opening day 2-2 draw with Everton. and West Ham have conceded only one goal in five Premier League away games this season.

Norwich are on a poor run of form but face a side that they have a good record against - Norwich have lost only one of their six Premier League games versus West Ham (W1 D4) and are unbeaten in home meetings (W1 D2).

West Ham are without defender Winston Reid. The New Zealand international suffered an ankle injury in training, although fellow defender James Collins is back following a hamstring complaint. The Hammers' forward options remain limited with Andy Carroll (heel) and Mladen Petric (thigh) both ruled out while Matthew Taylor (thigh) and Alou Diarra (both knee) are also absent.
