With much of the intrigue going on in the Premier League focusing on the slim chance of Manchester City letting Liverpool in, and beyond that Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur looking for the Europa League, Sunderland and Swansea can afford to relax a bit. Things looked dodgy for both sides for a while - in the former's case, a long while - but with both sides safe, they can celebrate together in the sun. Isn't that nice?

And that's full-time here. A fairly decent win for Swansea, and some encouragement for Garry Monk. Sunderland weren't desperately poor, although they'll surely need yet another squad overhaul if they're not to be fighting relegation again next season. Perhaps they might buy the creative midfielder they've been lacking for my entire lifetime. Oh, and elsewhere, City win the league. Enjoy your Sunday.

Altidore is put clean through, but can't quite fashion a shot before he and the ball are brought down in the area. Some half-hearted appeals for a penalty, but nothing doing. Jozy continues with his trademark 'ooh, ow, i'm injured' rolling around post-sitter-missed.

Were Norwich beating Arsenal 23-0, this would be a disastrous result for Sunderland. But they aren't, so it isn't. It's been an odd match - they've not been 'thumped 3-1 at home' bad, but they certainly haven't deserved to get anything from the game either.
84'
Almost a case of commentators' ironic curse as Altidore lets fly from range on the turn, the sort of effort that is usually sliced towards the corner flag but it only flies a few inches wide of the top corner.

Final substitution for Sunderland - John O'Shea is off, Jozy 'Hitman' Altidore is on.

Another free-kick for Sunderland, but Borini blazes it miles over.

It's a slow end to what has been a fairly interesting game. Johnson seems determined to score the goal of the season in the dying minutes, but he's not getting very close to doing so.

A poor clearance falls to Adam Johnson, who attempts something ridiculous with a quick bit of keepy-up before sending a dipping volley speeding towards goal. Unfortunately for him, it's right at Tremmel.
73'
Oof - Johnson was very close there. He let fly from what looked like far too far out, and his shot was low, but it bounced only inches wide of the post, with Tremmel arriving too late.

Another player who could have played his last game for Sunderland goes off. Larsson is withdrawn for Ba.

Larsson whips it in, but Tremmel manages to stop it on the line and Swansea's defence holds firm again.

Jordi Amat deservedly goes in the book for a poor challenge and Sunderland have an opportunity to get back into it from the free-kick...

Excellent passing from Sunderland, but the zip in their play expires as they reach the penalty area. Eventually, Johnson lashes one from disatance, but it's high and wide.

And here is that sub, although it seems an odd one. Phil Bardsley is off, Ondrej Celustka is on. That could be Bardsley's last game for Sunderland - his contract expires this summer.
61'
The game is looking once again disjointed - Sunderland will surely need to make a sub or two soon.
58'
Sunderland have a free kick in a dangerous position, but Larsson's delivery is too deep and Brown heads well over.

Substitution for Swansea - goalscorer Emnes off, Jonathan de Guzman on.

GOAL! And now Swansea restore their advantage. It's Wilfried Bony with a fine goal, collecting a loose ball and turning before putting a fine finish beyond Mannone, low and in off the post. It looks like being an impressive victory for Garry Monk.

Sunderland almost score again right away! They pour forward to roars from the home fans and Johnson cuts inside from the right but sees his shot blocked, and Swansea eventually get it clear.

GOAL! Sunderland are right back in it now, thanks to Fabio Borini, who scores his tenth goal of the season. Adam Johnson's corner finds him and he takes advantage of some lax marking from the visitors to glance a header just past Tremmel.
