Lennon drives a shot at goal from distance, but all too easy for De Gea to make the stop in diving to his left to make the save.

Kawaga looks very much in the mood today. No Ryan Giggs today, but he is entitled to a rest after his exertions in midweek.
8'
Soldado with a late push on the back of Evans, and United will have a free-kick inside their own half as they look to piece together a few passses.
7'
Last season was the first time Man United failed to beat Spurs in a Premier League season. Spurs have not had an unbeaten top flight run of more than two matches against Man United since November 1985 to May 1987 (4 matches).

Ball runs out of play before Evra is giving a talking to for a late challenge on Lennon. No bookings yet though.
5'
Brilliant break by Spurs, but an awful first touch by Walker sees the chance lost when better control would have given him a shot at goal at least.
4'
Some lovely one-touch stuff from Kawaga and Welbeck, but Kawahe ends the move by knocking the cross out of play. United showing their best side there.
3'
Game yet to really settle into a pattern as Evans gets the ball back to De Gea, who then knocks it long without too much fuss.
2'
De Gea off his line quickly to punch clear a Tottenham corner. Brilliant punch after Boaz Myhill made a mess of a punch against Newcastle last night that cost West Brom a goal.

We are off and running then in what should be a cracking match.

Right then, almost time to get going. The two sets of players stream onto the pitch and handshakes are offered. The big question is: will Spurs actually manage to score a goal?

So is AVB really at risk of losing his job? The Guardian have gone strong on the angle that Spurs are considering his position and this morning there were all kinds of names linked with the job: Guus Hiddink, Fabio Capello, Michael Laudrup and, er, Gus Poyet.

Here's some Opta stats to get you in the mood: Spurs have kept seven clean sheets this season, more than any other team in the Barclays Premier League. If Tottenham fail to score, they will equal their worst ever run of games without scoring in Premier League history (four games in Feb 2001 & Sep 2006). Excluding a penalty, Tottenham Hotspur have failed to score with any of their last 78 shots in the Premier League.

David Moyes: "The best is to come and I still think we can continue to improve and progress. We had some little bits of inconsistency at times, which we need to try to do better with, but there have been moments that have shown we are beginning to come right back into form. That is what I hope. Midweek certainly showed what we are capable of when we are playing well and the job is to do that week in, week out."

Andre Villas-Boas: "They are on a good run that changed their fortunes. We don't expect an easy match, but it will be a completely different story (for United's win over Leverkusen) on Sunday. I'm not being disrespectful, but it will be a different game in different conditions and our players will be mentally ready."
11:30
David Moyes refuses to give Ryan Giggs a birthday run-out after he turned 40 on Friday. Rafael only makes the bench as Chris Smalling plays at right-back. Meanwhile, Spurs leave out record signing Erik Lamela entirely.

TEAM NEWS: There’s no Robin van Persie for Manchester United as he continues to struggle with a groin injury. Still, Wayne Rooney and Shinji Kagawa combined to great effect in the 5-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen in midweek. Full teams on the way…
