Although Mel is winless in five games, he has already overseen impressive draws against Chelsea, Liverpool and Everton. But with only one win in 17, in all competitions, West Brom need to pick up three points.

New Fulham boss Magath, meanwhile, has had no such luxury since taking over last Friday: "In the next months we will have a lot of work to avoid relegation, but in the first days here the work we've achieved has been very good. I'm sure we will avoid relegation with this team as the players are willing to avoid relegation. We have a good atmosphere at the club when we all work together. Now we have to concentrate on the next 12 games."

West Brom boss Pepe Mel is still waiting for his first win. He took the players away to Spain on a warm weather training camp: "It was very good. We created a good atmosphere for the future. It was an important week because we established the new rules for work and new concepts for the play in the matches. The players are thinking about all the things from the new coach. For me it's important for the players to believe in their coach and the new concepts and play football."
