Just when Arsenal's season seemed to be coming together nicely along came Wednesday's Champions League defeat to Monaco. It was an unexpected blip after their strong form domestically, with eight wins in 10 league and cup games, and the players will be desperate to make amends. In contast, Everton continue to prosper in European football but have really struggled in the league this season, sitting just six points above the relegation zone. The Toffees need a win today just as much as The Gunners but who will get it? We'll soon find out.

F-T! Arsenal 2-0 Everton. It was nervous at times but Arsenal have reacted well to their midweek defeat and move back into third with a hard-fought 2-0 win. It was win built on industry more than beauty, with Francis Coquelin's bloodied face epitomising the team's spirit. David Ospina had to be at his best several times to keep Everton at bay, but in the end the home side deserved all three points.
