Hello and welcome to Eurosport's coverage of Wednesday's Premier League encounter between Arsenal and Southampton. This is Nick Royle (@nickaroyle) taking you through all the action from the Emirates Stadium.

CHANCE: Welbeck backheels into the side netting after Yoshida makes a mess of a near post clearance.

Bertrand gets in a lovely cross from the left but Koscielny is up to head clear. Arsenal break and Chambers gets in a fine cross himself into the Southampton box, which is also cleared.

There's an idea for Ronald Koeman...

Long gets in a tackle on Monreal down the left. He seems to have recovered from his injury anyway. Cazorla's corner from the left is easily cleared.

There's no real form to this match so far. And the crowd have been quiet too. Not one to stay up for the highlights.

On Saturday it was Schneiderlin who limped out..tonight it is Cork who is the unlucky Southampton midfielder.

And Long is limping too. Cork is going to have to come off. Alderweireld is likely to come in to midfield with Maya Yoshida going into the back four.

Cork is struggling with the ankle injury he suffered moments ago...

SAVE: Forster makes a great save following an intricate passing move started by Sanchez.

Cazorla gets the ball on the left and cuts the ball back in to the area, but Long at the back post watches the ball out of play.

Arsenal are struggling to break down the Southampton back four in the first half of the first half.

Bertrand wins a controversial corner, as the last touch came off an offside Pelle, but Mertesacker is up to clear at the near post.

Another corner for Arsenal, which is poor, but Alderwiereld is sharp to clear the second ball into the area.

Wanyama's cross from the right is behind Long and Monreal is able to shepherd the ball out of play.

Monreal catches Long on the halfway line. The Irishman goes down very easily for what seemed a powder-puff challenge. Long then tries to bend a cross into the area but his centre is a long way away from Pelle.

Arsenal win a corner down the right, but Wanyama heads clear under pressure from Sanchez.

CHANCE: Pelle blazes over from the left channel following a one-two with Davis on the edge of the box. That was a lovely cushioned header by the Ulsterman in the build-up.

Cork is still receiving treatment - he seemed to turn on his right ankle quite heavily. But he should be OK.

Ramsey catches Cork with a quite cynical tackle but the referee Andre Marriner waves advantage when advantage there was none.
