I'm predicting a 2-0 win for Chelsea. If there hadn't been so many injuries for United I'd have predicted a draw, but there you go.

United are suffering from a very annoying injury problem from their point of view. It's not several injuries that are spread across the team, rather to a group of players who might all have covered for one another, and Jonny Evans, who is suspended for gobbing: Blind, Carrick, Jones and Rojo are all knacked.

And here are the (non social media) thoughts of Louis van Gaal: "We are progressing and playing more like a team what I want. I think the balance is in the team now. I spoke a lot about balance for the past three months, maybe you are sick of it, but it is like that. There has been more balance and I could select the same line-up more often because I didn’t have injuries any more. But now, we have four injuries, and two in positions where we don’t have any other players – that is difficult."

Uh oh. Potential unhappy fans warning. Radamel Falcao earns a rare start in attack for the injury-hit visitors, with Wayne Rooney likely dropping into midfield.

Kurt Zouma slots into the Chelsea midfield for today's crunch clash at Stamford Bridge, a move which should afford Cesc Fabregas more creative freedom. Dider Drogba starts in attack.
