Bridcutt wastes a rare foray forward for Sunderland.

Sunderland are offering nothing in attack so far. Livermore breaks down the right, and beats his marker. Jelavic keeps up with him, but Livemore rolls the ball behind him, and nobody else is there for Hull.
27'
Robertson knocks the ball around his marker and drives forward, forcing the keeper to come out to concede a corner, but Hull can't make the most of Dawson's flick on.
26'
The ball is squeezed to Jelavic, possibly an inch offside, and his shot against Pantilimon wouldn't have counted anyway.
24'
Danny Graham slides a cross along the ground, into the six yard box, and with nobody attacking it the Hull defence allow the danger to drift away.

Defoe receives the ball just inside the box, on the left. He takes a touch or two inside, and snatches at a shot that drags wide of goal.
21'
Sunderland are keeping the ball for now, but Hull are sitting deep and organised, and Sunderland aren't capable of breaking them down just now.
20'
Huddleston's corner is headed at the back post to McShane, and his shot is blasted straight at Rodwell, who bravely stood in its path, and Sunderland eventually clear.
19'
City are playing the ball around the defence until McGregor hoofs it forward. The ball is worked to Elmohamady on the right, and his cross is blocked for a corner.
17'
Elmohamady is back on the pitch. This game is a real chance for Hull to leave Sunderland behind. Robertson fizzes in a shot for N'Doye's run to the near post, but it runs to Pantilimon.

GOAL! Hull City 1-0 Sunderland. N'Doye scores - Huddlestone drills in a low ball to the left of the useless wall, and N'Doye clips it past the keeper into the bottom far corner.

Brown clatters Elmohamady after he overruns the ball on the edge of ths box. He's booked. Elmohamday looks in a fair amount of pain, and the physio is there with his walkie talkie.

Do you like tweets? Me too. Here is one.

McShane wins a free kick on the left. The free kick is utter rubbish and easily headed away. Meyler's ball into the box drifts out for a goal kick.
8'
Robertson whips in a cross which is easily claimed by Pantilimon. Not much to say, so I won't say it. Graham tumbles to the ground under pressure and grabs the ball in that normal manner, and so the referee gives a free kick against him.
6'
Another chance for Hull. Sunderland have the the throw and a chance to build from the back.
5'
Bridcutt fouls N'Doye in the centre circle. A quick free kick finds Jelavic, and he takes a touch wide, and flashes a shot wide of the top corner,.
4'
Absolutely pathetic stuff from the Sunderland fans. They have no shame. Dawson clears a cross from Graham.
3'
Hull clear a cross into the box after it drops to the ground. The Hull defence react quickly enough but not convincingliy.
2'
Without Johnson and Giaccherini, Sunderland are playing narrowly in midfield. Sunderland's best hope will be from Larrsson to Defoe.

The match gets underway, and both sides will be nervous. If Sunderland win, they will leapfrog Hull into 15th place.
