Toure barges into the box, backheels on the byline to drive towards the six-yard box, but Everton manage to clear.

Toure wins a corner on the left for City. Another chance for Managal and Fernando to assault someone.

Fernando is booked for sticking his studs into Barry's head as he challenged for a high ball. It could conceivably have been met with a red card, but there you go.

GOAL! Manchester City 1-0 Everton. Toure takes a few steps towards the ball, and curls a shot low to Howard's right, into the bottom corner.

Penalty for City! Jagielka comes in with a lunge on Milner on the edge of the box, a few yards inside. Milner falls to the ground, doesn't appeal, but the referee gives a penalty. It's a fair decision.

City have had 61% of the possession so far.

Navas finds Zabaleta, whose cross is cleared. The ball comes to Toure on the edge of the box, and he curls a low shot well wide.

Samuel Eto'o takes studs into the bottom from Magala as he went for a corner on the right, and is booked for the foul.
