Newcastle owner Mike Ashley has taken to the TV cameras and vowed that he will not leave the club until they have won something - the Championship second-tier title obviously not counting. What do you make of that, Newcastle fans?

West Ham have ended the season with a negative goal difference in all 18 Premier League seasons they’ve featured in before this season. Heading into the final day at Newcastle they are on minus one, so a win of any kind would end the run.
14:40
If Newcastle do avoid relegation it will be their lowest points total in a season in which they were not relegated (since the 3pts for a win rule was introduced).
14:35
While much has been made of Newcastle's woeful form under Carver, remember that Sam Allardyce has won just two of his last 15 Premier League games (D5 L8). This could be the perfect opportunity for the Magpies to end that run and get away with a horrible 2015 here.
14:30
Sam Allardyce: “As a manager, that is the tough side of the game, trying to restore the confidence. That has been a hugely difficult task for John. He’s a great guy, he is Newcastle through-and-through, he loves the club from top to bottom. But the players haven’t done what they should have done for him and themselves. That happens, surprises happen at this level, that’s why it’s the best league in the world. Apart from the top boys, we can all be vulnerable to relegation at some stage.”
14:25
John Carver: "There are no second chances now. This is the last game, it's the cup final we've been talking about. We all know what we have to do and we all take responsibility. It's not about me taking the blame or [owner] Mike [Ashley] and [managing director] Lee [Charnley], we all take responsibility. We're in this situation, we've got to deal with it. I feel like we've got to win. If we do that, we take care of our own business."
14:20
So here's the basic overview: If Newcastle fail to do what they have failed to do over the last 10 games - win - they are at risk of being the third and final team sent down to the Championship along with Burnley and QPR. However, to overtake Newcastle in this scenario, Hull must defeat Manchester United - something they've never done. We'll keep you up to speed with BOTH games here, with the emphasis on St James's Park.
