And that's it. Southampton could not really have left it much later, but Mane's superb arrowed strike at the death gives them three points and third place in the table. In every other respect it was a poor game, notable mainly for the nasty head injury to young Targett and a brilliant, reflex save from Forster to deny Barton.

QPR have a goal disallowed! Nothing happens for 90 minutes and then this madness. isla crosses and Onuoha jumps into Forster. The ball is forced home but the referee blows for a foul on the away keeper.

GOAL! 0-1 Mane ducks away from Onouha's tackle and, as he falls to his left, he hammers a shot high into the net past a despairing Green. That is very late, and very lucky for the Saints.

Barton absolutely hammers Pelle, having already been booked. That was late and silly and he is very lucky not to get a second yellow.

Southampton almost click through Clyne, Tadic, and Ward-Prowse, but a loose pass brings the move to a halt. QPR try to break.

Zarate is very cross as he dribbles the ball out of play. There will be four minutes of extra time, which at the moment seems a little cruel.

QPR get an attacking freekick as Mane fouls Fer. Vargas' delivery is poor, but QPR win a throw-in. Nothing comes of it and QPR play it back.

The game has degenerated into a rather dismal back and forth now.

Hill takes a throw-in in an attacking position for QPR. Zarate drives in-field and smashes a shot which bends and dips but misses by a yard. That was great from the Argentine striker.

Tadic is offside after a very high, long pass. It was, at least, nearly a chance.

Vargas looks to get involved straight away down QPR's right but Southampton's defence have been resolute all day and work it clear. Fer is fouled and looks miserable that he had no-one to pass to beforehand. QPR have rarely clicked today.

Vargas is on for Dunne, who would not have come off without the injury. Onouha will drop into the centre of defence and Vargas will play on the right.

Dunne is down and though QPR were preparing a sub, that may have to wait while he is assessed.

Perhaps a little early, but it was very good...

Tadic is on for Elia, who has looked quick and direct but not produced a great deal.

Zarate, who looks mobile and skilful, leads several Saints defenders a merry dance before passing it straight out for a throw. At the other end, Mane lunges into a shot which is well blocked by Hill.

Taarabt bends in a good freekick that Hill contests in the box but Southampton can clear.

Hill is lucky not to be sent off for a challenge on Elia on the very, very edge of the box. The assistant had a clear view but chose not to flag and Clint is a lucky man. Schneiderlin is booked for a foul on Zarate though.

Traore is off for Isla.

Extraordinary save from Forster from Barton's shot, which was so close in as to give the away stopper almost no time at all to react. The big keeper seemed to shrug a hand upwards and force it onto the bar. Brilliance from the England man.
