Mild controversy as the flag stops Costa, who was well offside, from collecting a ball forward. Chelsea protesting because said ball was actually a stray interception from a white shirt, not an attacking ball.

And almost immediately, Chelsea win back possession and, 3 on 3, Costa fires just over the bar.

GOAL! Swansea 0-2 Chelsea! Another assist for Fabregas and another goal for Costa! Lovely triangles of passing from Cesc, Willian and Oscar before the former squares for the striker to double the lead clinically.

Costa feeds Hazard to cut inside two defenders and fire at Fabianski.

After a bright recovery to conceding from the hosts, Chelsea are starting to hog the ball now and again Oscar comes close, rolling an effort just wide of the far post.

Both Routledge and Fabregas take rough challenges but are alright.

First excellent Chelsea passage of the game leads to Oscar stinging the palms of Fabianski before Willian skies a second attempt from the edge of the box.

For the second time in the first 11 minutes Willian dawdles on the ball with options to release. This time he gets a rather fortunate free-kick.

Ivanovic defends fanastically to cut out a threat on the right and win the goal kick in the process.

Indeed, would have been intriguing to see how this game opened up if not for that costly error in the opening minute.

Little sign of the usual, robust Chelsea defending. Trying to play their way out of pressure and are being promptly swarmed off the ball.

He's back up, free-kick comes to nothing, back to open play where Swansea are finally starting to get into the groove, one goal too late.

Hazard goes to ground near the Swans' corner flag very, very easily. Plenty of jeers from fans who recall THAT ball-boy incident.

Sigurdsson almost immeidately makes amends with a neat curling drive which goes inches over the angle.

GOAL! 48 seconds in and a deep-lying Sigurdsson gives the ball away in an absolute gaffe allowing Oscar to immediately stride forward and break the deadlock low and across Fabianski. 0-1!

And we're underway as the home side kick off the first half.
