West Ham beat the Eagles 3-1 at Selhurst Park earlier this season. Victory would complete a first league double over them since 1972-73.

Sam Allardyce and Alan Pardew have both managed Newcastle United and West Ham United in the Premier League. Head to head, Allardyce has won five and lost one of their nine meetings as opposition coaches.

Alan Pardew on tickets being priced at £44 for away fans. "I wish they were cheaper and I was asking the fans, if they can possibly afford it, to try to come along because it's a big afternoon for us. It's an agenda that we as a club are focusing on - that away fans should get a better rate to make it easier. With all the finance coming into the game, it's something that has to be looked at by the Premier League and by Premier League chairmen. These messages start with your fans. I'm just echoing my personal opinion with what our fans want and what fans up and down the country want. They want to follow their team, in a place where they have a good view of the game, and at a decent price that makes it viable to be able to travel."

West Ham squandered a two goal lead in their last London derby to draw at Spurs but a win today would see them move to within two points of Tottenham. A win for Palace would take them above Everton to 12th in the table.

Sam Allardyce on Nene: "He’s an intelligent player, good technically, finds space. He just has to cope with the physical aspect of the game and if he can do that, the talent and experience is definitely there and since he’s travelled from Brazil to join us, so is the desire."

So the breaking news is that new signing Nene starts on the bench for West Ham as Sakho and Valencia continue up front. Andy Carroll and Carlton Cole are missing through injury and Morgan Amalfitano is banned. Palace captain Mile Jedinak makes his first start under Alan Pardew, having returned from a sore ankle. James McArthur has recovered from a thigh problem and returns to the bench but Palace are without Fraizer Campbell, Yaya Sanogo and Marouane Chamakh through injury.
