Only half a chance in the first half for Palace when Conor Wickham threw himself at a header.

The second half already following the pattern of the first with Arsenal laying siege to the Palace goal.

Scott Dann seems to be okay to return. Probably had some good physio at half time. Sanchez picks out Welbeck in the box but his shot is blocked before Delaney thumps clear for a corner.

A tactical change from Alan Pardew that at least hints of a little bit more adventure. Cabaye drops a little deeper.

GOAL ARSENAL! And finally it’s the breakthrough as Sanchez plants his header over the advancing Hennessey from Welbeck’s chip into the box.

At least that’s an effort on target for Arsenal, who must be getting increasingly frustrated. Now Coquelin concedes a late free kick for Palace in a dangerous area. A good ball from Cabaye finds Wickham but he heads over.

CHANCE! Sanchez plays in Ozil and it takes a good save from Hennessey with his legs to keep him out.

The siege of the Palace goal ends with a foul by Gabriel on Dann. It was actually Dann that kicked Gabriel and the referee probably got that one wrong.
