Southampton take the full three points, but that can't be seen as too much of a disaster for Villa with some definite glimmers of hope in the darkness with some obvious areas for, erm, improvement.

Grealish has a try curling the ball towards the goal but it's not happening for him, there's no where near enough power on it.

Rudy Gestede fluffed his lines horribly, there stepping over the ball, but it goes through his legs to Westwood who fires it in the back of the net from the near side of the area.

Mane runs at the goal and Guzan gets the ball but again drops it. Cissokho ends up with the ball and passes directly to Shane Long - it's almost like watching a Benny Hill sketch.

Quite a lot of debris by the goal, now as fans fly their paper aeroplane protest banners onto the pitch.

Guzan saves a ball and DROPS it! An uncomfortable moment ensues as Shane Long gets to the loose ball, but it's up over the bar - luckily for Guzan.
