That's the final whistle. Spurs have beaten Aston Villa by two goals to nil thanks to - guess who? Harry Kane (assisted both times by Dele Alli). Is it all over for Aston Villa? Arguably, it's been over since it began.

Harry Kane might have been hoping for a hat trick then as Carroll finds him just in front of the goal, but they don't really look like they mean it anymore and Villa clear it quite easily.

Spurs have looked considerably less threatening in the last 10 minutes or so, mind you, they don't really need to threaten anyone, now.

We have three more minutes to lay at Villa Park, which I imagine Villa fans are hoping will be over, pretty quickly.

Nacer Chadli is coming on for the last couple of minutes in place of Erik Lamela

Rudy Gestede misses again! Lescott gets the deflection, but it's struck down the side of the post.

Ryan Mason is coming on to replace Dele ALli, who's provided both Spurs assists today.

WOODWORK! Double woodwork, actually. Jordan Ayew gets a rare touch on the ball, which Rudy Gestede finds on the deflection and kicks it straight into the post. Again.

And those remaining are making a bit of noise in protest against owner Randy Lerner.

There appears to be a mass exodus at Villa Park, with nine minutes left to play. Can't say I blame them.

Eriksen plays forward to Rose, who whips the ball into the area back to Eriksen but it's not on target. He'll be replaced now by Tom Carroll.
75'
Lamela shoots just in front of the goal but Lescott jumps in front to deny him with a block.

The difference between these two sides is that you actually expect one of them to score when they have the ball in the area. Spurs look consistently dangerous on the attack.
71'
Rudy Gestede gets his foot to Cissokho's throw in for a powerful looking volley, but it's off target.
70'
Youngster Green has had his first run with the ball, but is promptly brought down.

Scott Sinclair is coming on for Carles Gil.

There's a lot of discussion here about "happier times" for Aston Villa, which were 34 years ago, apparently.

Spurs are playing a bold game and taking a lot of chances. It's unsurprising that the league title contenders should be outclassing the almost-relegated Villa.

In a bit of a surprising move, 17 year old England youth striker Andre Green has replaced Jordan Veretout.

Guzan thumps the ball away as Spurs and Villa players tussle in the Villa area.
