Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew said Yannick Bolaise wanted to play after taking time off following the death of his father. Pardew said: "He has lost his father and of course that affects any human being and any family, and he's dealing with his family.He'll be involved on Saturday because he wants to be involved. Because his father went to every game. I think that's good for us, it'll be good for him and his family. The player's welfare is in good shape, the frame of mind. We're very pleased that he's dealing with it so well."

Jose Mourinho said he is not concerned that today is his 100th home match in charge of the Blues. He said: "If I don't win, I don't get a good memory of 100 matches, because the 99 are not important. Four points is not what we want, but four points is not a drama. "When you are five points behind a leader in another league that can be complicated. In the Premier League it's not complicated."
