A name to look out for today is Axel Tuanzebe, who makes the United bench. Tuanzebe, who is just 17, is captain of United’s U18 side. Tuanzebe is a centre-back who has drawn comparisons to Rio Ferdinand. No pressure.

United are on a decent run of form having lost just one of their last six league games (W4 D1 L1), keeping three clean sheets in the process.

Palace would have to snap quite the unfortunate streak if they are to take all three points from this one. They have never won a Premier League game against Manchester United, drawing two and losing 10 (including each of the last four). Furthemore, of current Premier League teams, Crystal Palace’s total of 12 games without ever winning against Man Utd is the joint-longest 0% win rate against a single opponent in the division (level with Palace v Southampton).

Manchester United, meanwhile, arrive in London without Memphis Depay, Antonio Valencia or James Wilson to call upon while Ashley Young is deemed fit enough for the bench.

Palace talisman Yohan Cabaye passed a late fitness but Marouane Chamakh and Connor Wickham both remain absent. Full-back Pape Souare is also sidelined but Joel Ward has been training this week and is thrown back into the fray - with Martin Kelly moving across to the left to fill in for Souare.
